Alternative Remedies For Migraine Headaches
What’s the first thing you should do when a migraine headache sets in? Well aside from rolling on the floor and crying, you’ve got to do something that’ll stop it. Now, there’s number of ways you can go about this, but for today, I’m going to show you alternative remedies for migraine headaches.
The medicine sold by pharmaceutical giants comes with way too many side effects, some of which can be hazardous to your health if taken too often. That’s why I’d prefer we do things the more natural way, as to minimize potential risks. With that said, here’s the first cure for migraines on our list: tea.
Migraines intensify as more stress builds up from within you. By drinking a cup of hot tea with a teaspoon of honey, your body and mind will be placed into a state of tranquility. This in turn unwinds all the tension from inside, therefore providing relief from the wretched pain in your head.
Next on our list of alternative remedies for migraine headaches is a heating pad. What you do here is lay down on it whenever you feel an attack is about to take place. Stay in a room with no light, and just relax on that pad.
I know this one might sound strange, but some people have said that taking a bath in hydrogen peroxide has helped them fight off the unwanted symptoms. Not only does soaking in the solution help take the pressure off of your head, but it helps detoxify your entire body as well.
Taking vitamins and keeping properly hydrated is a couple of remedies for migraine headaches that have been shown to help prevent the onset of the disorder. Additionally, appropriate amounts of water helps flush out toxins, plus has a number of other benefits too.
Another way to gain relief from a painful headache is done through getting a massage. All you have to do is have some fine-looking guy or gal put a little pressure on the tensed areas of your head and neck. This “technique” is proven effective, and really does wonders for the alleviation of the headache.
There are plenty of other remedies for migraine headaches that anyone can try to gain instant relief, such as eating a balanced diet. Avoiding the intake of certain drugs such as caffeine and alcohol is also helpful, as they both can increase the duration and intensity of any migraine symptoms.
